Conjunctions and Relative Clause.

Conjunctions.
We commonly join words, phrases and or sentences together in a narrative. The words to join are called Conjunctions.

After, before, since, while, when, as

Ex.

  • His grandfather is sixty years old. He has white hair all over his head. He is still very healty.
  • Altough his grandfather is sixty years old and has white hair all over his head, he is still very healty.
Relative Clause.
We can also join up sentences in other ways:

  1. Using Who, Whose, Whom, Which, When, and That.
  • Who. digunakan untuk kalimat 1 dan 2 subjeknya sama orang
  • Whom. digunakan untuk kalimat 1 dan 2 objeknya sama orang
  • Which. digunakan untuk kalimat 1 dan 2 subjeknya sama benda
  • Whose. digunakan untuk kalimat kepunyaan seseorang
  • Where. kalimat yang menunjukan keterangan tempat
  • When. kalimat yang menunjukan keterangan waktu/ pada saat ...
  • That. digunakan pada semua kalimat yang tidak dipengaruhi apapun (jalan pintas ni hihihi)
